Quick Question
Okay, so awhile ago I took a break from guild wars for a little over a month. Previous to that, I was fond of running around mineral springs, primarily doing my own IDS farming, but also opening chests.
To my great annoyance, it now seems I am no longer able to. When sprinting past groups of Avicara, the Avicara Wise will follow me...throughout the entire area! They even leave their "group" and follow me, maintaining my speed even while I sprint. Oddly, they won't directly attack me, but continue to cast spells on me. I tried dozens of times, but they never leave me. I've also noticed that in Tasca's Demise, the Stone Summit Necros seem to occationally do the same thing.
I don't ever remember this sort of thing happening before. Now it happens every single time I'm in Mineral Springs, making it impossible for me to do any kind of IDS farming.
Can anyone clear this up for me? Was there some kind of update? Is this apparent bug of a purposeful design? And if so, what reason could ANet possibly have for doing that? To discourage running? I'm totally clueless.

It's an AI bug. Caster enemies have a tendency to follow you for ridiculous distances. They will never attack you, but will cast spells on you (if they can). Monk enemies look particularly ridiculous because they typically don't have any offensive spells, so they'll just follow you around, doing absolutely nothing.

Yes, bless anet!
Soon warriors won't be looked at as farming tools anymore (hopefully).

How is it a bad thing that warriors can make a profit? I really get tired of these anti-farming posts. If you don't want to farm, no one is forcing you to.

I think he means that people view Warriors as farmers and only farmers.

Well, I'm not sure where he would get that impression. Warriors are one of the most integral classes, along with monks, for doing practically anything in a group.

I agree. However, they are also one of the best, if not the best, farming/soloing profession; that may be where he would have gotten his impression, hordes of Warrior farmers.

Ironically, monks are the other major farming class.
The moral of the story is that monks and warriors are good for everything. Every other class is optional.

Ever notice that whenever something gets nerfed, people just find a new way/place to farm instead? Sure we can't just step outside and open chests that don't require keys without encountering any enemies like it used to be when GW was still young, but it's definately not impossible to farm anymore.

Sadly, that's very true.

I still cant understand how can a game can ban farming by make mobs run away from when you need them to be closer you and follow you when you need to get away from them. But the thing at other side the game has obsidian armor(okay I am not meaning getting it by trolls), if not any 15k armor. Give me only 1 way to get ascended armor. Without farm you even wont be able to buy cheap greens for your char. Finishing game doesnt give a way much gold than only for buying max armor.

Sadly Yukimaru doesn't have Crippling Slash or Hamstring yet, so I just threw 2 speed buffs in my build.

The medics will still kite you, maybe just not infinitely. What they're planning to fix is the infinite aggro.
